Sean is getting better at walking. He can now stand up on his own and walk a half dozen steps or go about 3 feet. He even has a little game he plays with himself. In the dining room/hallway area, he crawls over to the tile, then stands up, then takes a couple of steps, then dives onto the carpet. He repeats this over and over again. He must think the carpet is softer than I do.

Here’s what the media doesn’t want you to know about global warming. At least one member of congress understands (warning: I’m not an advocate of this site, and this transcript may have been edited). My own view point is that I don’t see how any scientist (as opposed to a politician or bureaucrat) can state with certainty that humans have caused any significant warming of the planet. Yes, temperatures may be increasing, and yes, carbon dioxide levels may be historically high (whether or not due to human activity), but it doesn’t mean these two facts are related, and it certainly doesn’t make any sense to reduce the standard of living in the US over the issue.
