June 30, 2001 on 10:28 pm | In Main |Another hot day today, although cooler than yesterday. The high was 112 degrees. I used the pool 4 times today. The water temperature is very near 90 degrees, so I turned on the little aerator for the first time this year. The aerator is supposed to cool off the pool, but I think it is just a decorative fountain. Still, I leave it off until the water temperature is warm enough for Cortney to enjoy.
We has some friends over for dinner tonight, and afterwards, Sean put on a real show. He can now stand up and walk on his own for about a dozen steps or around 10 feet. If he didn’t rush everywhere and didn’t enjoy falling down so much, he would be walking now. I don’t understand why, but he loves diving down onto his hands or crashing down onto his knees.
I had a nice enjoyable run this morning. Without putting in too much effort, I was able to complete my 3 mile run in 2 minutes less time than last week. I’m already close to my time in the race for the cure last year. I think part of the better time may be due to the weather. Yesterday’s high temperatures really dried out the air, where as last week the high humidity kicked off this year’s monsoon season.
