AI

Last night’s movie was AI. In short, this was a terrible movie. I don’t expect Hollywood to accurately portray artificial intelligence, but on the other hand, I would be willing to have a suspension of belief for a good story or for an entertaining movie. Unfortunately, this movie was neither entertaining nor a good story. The first half of the movie actually did tell a good story about how an artificial boy would never fit in with a real family. If the movie ended half-way through, it would have told a good story. This part of the movie was actually creepy, which in a way made the story even more believable. But I guess Speilberg saw fit to finish off the rest of the movie with an overblown production of pompous absurdity. In summary, don’t bother to see this movie. In doesn’t give us any insight into artificial intelligence, it doesn’t present any social relevance, and it isn’t entertaining. I rate this movie a D.

Buy it.
