June 23, 2002 on 8:33 pm | In Main |The only movie I watched this weekend was I am Sam. This movie could have been a real tear jerker if it had been better done. The story was good, and the acting was decent, but it seemed to go too quickly from one scene to the next without going into any depth. It was almost as if a full length novel were compressed to a two hour movie while trying to be true to each page in the book. The other problem was the copying of too many elements of both Rain Man and Kramer vs. Kramer. At least the writers even realized this, and even worked that into the movie. Still, this movie is worth watching. I rate this movie a B.
