Why are the people protesting the IMF and Word Bank referred to as anarchists? As far as I can tell, they are totalitarian in terms of the political spectrum, in that they would prefer that some government entity regulate all economic activity and most social activity. Perhaps they are referred to anarchists because if the protesters actually were able to get what they wanted, modern civilization as we know it would not exist. I still think a political group should be referred to by their beliefs, and not the end result of their beliefs. It’s a shame these protesters aren’t putting their energy to more productive use. I largely blame leftist academia for the protester’s ignorance.
