It was a beautiful day today. Bright and sunny, breezy and warm, but not hot. On the way home from work, many people had their car windows rolled down. I didn’t have that luxury because my car was in the sun all day long. Sean and I had a pleasant walk over to the park after dinner. Cortney drove over a little while later to meet up with us. Sean was happy to show off his skills climbing up and down the curved ladder on the playground. Sean also did plently of running around. At one point, he tried to run into an ongoing football game being played by some older boys. I think he did enough running around that he started to get tired. Sean climbed in the stroller like he wanted to go home. As I started to push the stroller, he became very upset, and yelled “swing”. I got him out of the stoller, but he didn’t want to go anywhere. He kept saying “swing”, so I carried Sean over the the swingset. Just as I was about to put him in the swing, he yelled out “milk”. I thought ok, I’ll just take him home. When we got back to the stoller, he asked for the swing again. I ended up putting Sean back in to the stroller, strapping him in, and pushing him home kicking and screaming. He was fine after we arrived home, and played quietly for the rest of the evening. I never did figure out exactly what he wanted at the playground.
