March 27, 2003 on 8:21 pm | In Main |Lately, we have been giving Sean time-outs by putting him in the crib when he misbehaves. We tried spanking, but it didn’t seem to work well. After I caught Sean jumping on the couch, I put him into the crib for his time-out, telling him what he did wrong. After his three minute time-out, I decided to see if Sean was learning anything from the disciplinary action, so I asked him if he knew what he did wrong. I wasn’t expecting an answer, but surprisingly, he said “I stand on the sofa”. At least Sean knows what the rules are, even if chooses to occasionally not obey them.
