November 17, 2003 on 8:46 pm | In Main |Cortney had Bunco night here again. To get out of Cortney’s way, I took Sean and Ethan out to dinner at McDonald’s, so they could use the play area. I brought food for both Sean and Ethan, but I ended up giving some of Sean’s food to Ethan. Ethan is frequently eating more food than Sean now. Sean had fun playing, but none of the other kids were using the play equipment, so Sean had no one to play with. After eating, I let Ethan walk around. I wanted him to stay in the play area, but he kept walking out of the play area. Sean thought it was real funny when I had to keep walking over to pick Ethan up and bring him back into the play area. Eventually, Sean became bored.
When he was willing to put his shoes on, I knew it was time to leave. I wanted to stay out a little longer, until it was bedtime for the kids, so I stopped by the park for a while. I noticed Ethan is now hesitant to go down the slide on his own. The good news is that he now has enough muscle control to go down the slide sitting up, so it won’t be long before he feels comfortable going down on his own again. Sean and Ethan both had fun on the swing before we left the park to go home. After a meal and some exercise, I had no problem putting the kids to sleep.
