November 20, 2003 on 7:29 pm | In Main |I was going to take the kids to the park tonight, but Sean and Ethan were too tired and fussy to go. Ethan cried from the time I came home until he was fed dinner. Sean had a time-out during dinner when he kept putting his food on Ethan’s tray, even though he was told not to. Even though we didn’t go out, we still had fun after dinner. I tried using phonics cards that I had ordered from Amazon for the first time tonight. Sean went through most of the single letter sounds on his own. I was really impressed. His biggest problem was that he did not know what some of the pictures represented. For example, he recognized the j in jeans, and said the juh sound correctly, but then he said “pants”. I had to explain that this type of pants were jeans. Sean enjoyed our little training session, and he even asked to go through the cards again. Ethan had fun just walking around the family room. I also read Ethan some stories as well.
