I took Sean and Ethan to the park this afternoon, but it was really cold and windy. We were at the park less than an hour when Sean went down one of the slides that had some water from this morning’s rain. That soaked Sean’s pants, so we had no choice but to go home.

We had visitors this morning, so Cortney and I spent the morning cleaning the house. The visitors were Cortney’s relatives, Richard and Marlene from Denver, Colorado. They stopped by while driving from Sedona to Palm Springs, California. They received a tour of the house, and had a chance to see Sean and Ethan, and the two cats.

As usual on Friday evenings, we went to Burger King. We had the play area to ourselves, so I went inside the ball pit to play with Sean and Ethan. Once Ethan is out of the ball pit and into the tunnels, he can really move around. We went into the area with foam bars haning on swivel mounts from the ceiling, and Ethan had a blast playing. Sean kept wanting Ethan to go down the slide with him, but the slide is the only part of the play area Ethan doesn’t like. We let the kids play until it was time to go home for them to get their baths before bedtime. Both Sean and Ethan looked good with the hair cut and neatly combed.

Cortney likes going out for breakfast, so we decided to do that today. Ethan decided not to cooperate unless we gave him something to nibble on before we left. Sean and Ethan did fairly well at the restaurant, splitting an order of pancakes. Breakfast was enjoyable for Cortney and I, but Sean and Ethan became impatient towards the end.

After breakfast, we decided to give both kids a haircut. We arrived shortly after the place opened, and that was a good thing, because it quickly became crowded. Sean did not care much for the haircut, as usual. Ethan did not mind as much. At least Sean will look sharp when he goes back to school on Monday, and Ethan will look good for his MOMS playgroup.

Happy New Years! Cortney had to get up first thing this morning to drive her parents to the airport. Everyone here will miss Corky and Leslie, and I hope they have a safe trip home. And I hope Corky fully recovers from his pnemonia soon!

With the house back to it’s normally occupancy, we had a schedule more like a weekend day. I took the kids to the park this afternoon, then we went out to dinner. Only Cortney watched a video this evening; I wanted to get caught up on some of my computer work.
