An Evening Swim
June 2, 2004 on 7:36 pm | In Main | No CommentsIt was hot today, with a high of 108 degrees. Since Sean is now over his ear infection, it was perfect weather for a swim in the pool. The pool water has warmed up to 82 degrees, warm enough to stay in as long as we wanted. Sean had fun sliding down the slide into the pool, and just jumping into the pool. He just can’t get enough of the pool.
Ethan was excited too. He even managed to say “pool, yes”. Ethan didn’t stay in long. He was nervous about going in in the first place, and then he fell off the steps. That ended his swim.
Owning a pool has its advantages, but it can also be a challenge. The auto-leveler in our pool has broken, and has overfilled the pool. In the short run, that problem was fixed just by turning off the water line to the leveler. That should give me plenty of time to replace the broken valve. I’ve always wondered how much water evaporates during these hot dry days, and now I’m going to find out.
Ethan has an Ear Infection
June 2, 2004 on 7:29 pm | In Main | No CommentsEthan has not been his usual self the last few days, so Cortney took him to the doctor. It turns out he now has an ear infection. The good news is that Sean’s ear infection is cleared, so he can now go in the pool.
No School for Sean
June 1, 2004 on 7:59 pm | In Main | No CommentsToday was the first regular workday since Sean finished the school year. I could tell the difference. Both Sean and Ethan were just full of energy after dinner. I bet Cortney had her hands full during the day. Just another three months before school starts again!
