4th of July Weekend

We are going to a party this evening, so I’m posting early. We started off the day by going out to breakfast. Sean and Ethan had slept fairly late, so I was up before they had breakfast. I asked Sean what he wanted to eat, and he said he wanted to go out. So, we did. We left Cortney’s parents home for some peace and quiet. We had no problem ordering food for Sean and Ethan to eat from the menu. I ended up getting more to eat than I wanted, since I had Sean’s eggs, and bacon and sausage from both meals. I wonder how old Sean and Ethan will be before they realize that that’s the good stuff.

I spent the rest of the morning doing the yardwork. I normally do yardwork on Sunday’s, but I wanted to get the work done today, because we are going to a ball game tomorrow. I can’t wait.

Happy Birthday Leslie!

We celebrated Leslie’s birthday this evening. We had a barbecue dinner, with Corky cooking hamburgers. We actually ate outside, on the porch. We had the misters on to keep us cool. With the misters on, it was pleasant. After the dinner, we had birthday cupcakes, with everbody getting one, including Sean and Ethan. Ethan did not want to pick up the cup cake, so he ate most of it by just bending down and biting it. He finished up the rest of it with a fork. Quite a feat for a twenty month old.

Sean Tired at Gym Class

Sean must of had fun playing with his grandparents today, because he was tired when it was time for his gym class. This time, both Cortney and I went to watch Sean at class, leaving Ethan at home with his grandparents. Sean did fairly well at gym, even though he was tired. Cortney and I compared notes about all of the instructors Sean has had. I didn’t realize he has a different instructor on Mondays, when Cortney usually takes Sean, from Thursdays, when I take Sean. Sean certainly had no complaints at bedtime, so I hope he gets a good night’s sleep.
