Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2004 on 8:13 pm | In Main |This year was my time to take Sean and Ethan trick-or-treating, while Cortney manned the door with the candy bowl. Sean was dressed up as Tigger, while Ethan was dressed up as a lion. I have to admit, Ethan looked cute in his lion outfit. We had perfect weather this evening; cool enough to not get warm in the costumes, but not too cold.
It took a house or two for Sean and Ethan to get the hang of trick-or-treating, but after that, both were able to say “trick-or-treat”, and “thank you” afterwards. Sean is now tall enough that he can reach the doorbells easily, so I was able to watch from the street. We covered the cul-de-sac west of our house, and all the way down the street around the corner. That was enough houses to fill the kid’s pumpkin buckets full of candy. Half way through, I had to carry Ethan’s bucket from house to house, as it was too heavy for him to carry. Ethan tripped quite a few times, but he was excited enough to get up and keep going.
Both Sean and Ethan were getting a lot of attention from the parents with their cute costumes. They certainly had fun, and I enjoyed taking them out. They were each allowed one piece of candy before bedtime. I have no idea what we are going to do with the rest of that candy.
