Ahhh, Monday

Overall, today wasn’t a bad day, considering I wasn’t fully caught up with my sleep over the weekend. I had a nice greeting at the door by Sean and Ethan after coming home from work. Sean was happy to show me his new cement mixer toy, which he picked up from the treasure chest at school. That was the highlight of my day.

Yard Work Day

This week is loose trash pickup, so I needed to do the yard trimming today. Nothing heavy, but a solid two hours of trimming all over the yard. At least the lawn has stopped growing, so I did not have to mow today.

Even though it was pleasant outside, the yard work was strenuous enough that I just took it easy for the rest of the day. Sean and Ethan played out in the back yard a few times, but other than that, we did not go anywhere today.

A Sleepy Day

I don’t know whether I had a relapse from last Tuesday, or dinner did not agree with me, but I ended up making several trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and did not get any sleep at all last night. Cortney had lots to do today, so I watched Sean and Ethan most of the morning, and for the evening as well. Fortunately for me, they were well behaved, so that made my day much easier.

Ethan Conks Out on the Carpet

I came home from work today, ready to take the kids to the Burger King play area. Sean was all ready to go, but Ethan was asleep on the living room carpet. He was really out of it. I yelled “Ethan”, and he stirred briefly, then went back to sleep.

Apparently, Cortney took the kids out the store, and on the way home, Ethan feel asleep in his car seat. Cortney lifted him out of the car and put him in the living room, but he never really woke up.

Changing Ethan’s diaper was enough to wake him up. He was fine by the time we made it to Burger King, and he had fun playing.
