Wrapping up the Car Story

I forgot to conclude the car story I started last week, where I was stuck with Sean at McDonalds, with a broken throttle cable.

The car place did not have the part in stock, so I had to get a rental car. After much driving around, I had my car fixed by the end of the day yesterday. It turns out the part was only ten dollars, but a whole lot of aggravation came with it.

Boy Day

On the way over to gym class, I was explaining to Sean that Sunday was Mother’s day, and I how I ordered a nice present for Sean to give to his mother. Sean asked when boy day was. At first I didn’t understand what he meant, and then I realized that he wanted to know when his special day was. I told Sean that everyday was boy day. This confused Sean a bit, then he asked when he could get a nice big truck was a present. I told Sean the only special day where he would get presents is his birthday.

Major Yard Work Day

I did a lot of yard work today. I basically had to trim back all of the spring growth. I trimmed the hedges and bougainvilleas in the front, and many of the plants by the pool. I worked enough that I was tired and sore by the time I was done. At least it was a nice day; just slightly cloudy, with temperatures in the 80’s.

I wished I had done more with Sean and Ethan today. By bedtime, they were both really wound up. At least tomorrow, I will be taking Sean to gym class.
