Happy Birthday Cortney!
September 22, 2005 on 7:44 pm | In Main |Today was Cortney’s birthday. I stayed home from work, but it wasn’t to help her celebrate; it was to recover from my sinus infection. Still, I was able to give Cortney a break from watching the kids, so I made her day a bit easier.
For the proper celebration, we went out to dinner at the cheesecake factory. Afterwards, we had cake and opened presents. Sean and Ethan gave Cortney an ice cream maker attachment for her KitchenAid mixer. I gave Cortney a shopping card good at all of the local malls.
On a more somber note, my brother and my parents have evacuated the Houston area, staying in a hotel suite in Austin. While I’m glad they are not risking their lives in the hurricane, it still can’t be much fun to be couped up in a hotel room and wondering if your house will be ok.
