We’re In Texas!
November 20, 2005 on 5:39 pm | In Main |We made it to our hotel this evening. We are staying at exit 0 off I10, right at the Texas border. It only took seven hours to reach here from Phoenix.
I printed out a AAA Triptik to help us on our trip. I like to check frequently to find how far we have gone. Sean saw this, and became fascinated with the maps. I had to teach Sean about the mile makers, so he could help me find where we were on the map. Even though he asked almost every five minutes where we were on the map, it was better than the famous “Are we there yet?”.
Sean and Ethan were both well behaved in the car. They both made it to planned rest room stops, so we made good time. Tomorrow will be a bit more of a challenge. We have to cross the state of Texas, and I estimate it will take about twelve hours.
