The Animal Kingdom Park

Disney does not have free internet access, so I am backdating this post to the date the events actually occurred.

We left Cortney’s parents house early in the morning. We drove through some heavy rain on the way to Orlando, but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The rain cooled everything off, and so we had a nice pleasant day on the first day of our trip to Disney World.

We went to the Animal Kingdom park today. We met one of Cortney’s Florida friends, along with her husband and 18 month old. As soon as we went into the park, we went straight to the dinosaur section. They did not have much there in the way of rides, but the kids liked the dinosaur dig themed play area.

The hit of the park was the Mount Everest ride. Ethan was not tall enough, but Sean was. Sean was more afraid of the yeti in the ride than the roller coaster park. The adults had to take turns watching the kids, but we all made it on the ride.

The kids tired out around 6:00 in the evening, which left us time to go back to the hotel and use the big pool there. They had a nice slide in the pool, which Sean really liked.
