A Busy Day
June 25, 2006 on 8:54 pm | In Main |First thing this morning, I decided to tackle the Wal Mart trip, as I needed to stock up on groceries. That’s when Cortney goes, and I can see why, as it wasn’t too crowded.
I tackled the yard work next. I was starting to think the heat wasn’t too bad, but after three hours of yard work, and a break for lunch, I felt like passing out from exhaustion. Which I did, sort of, as I took a decent afternoon nap.
After the nap, I did my workout, as I needed to do something about the sore muscles from yesterday’s attempted run. 45 minutes on the exercise bike took care of that.
I fixed my self a nice dinner to end the day. Or almost. The pool is still green, and the more chemicals I add, the greener it gets. Or at least it seems that way. I’m more than a bit frustrated with this. The only thing enjoyable about the Phoenix heat is relaxing in the pool, and right now, the pool looks like a toxic waste dump. The chemicals I added this morning said they would clear the algae in 24 hours, and going on 12, there is no effect. So I added a couple of gallons of liquid chlorine for good measure. At this point, it seems like it would almost be easier to pump the green water into the street, and start over with fresh water. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow the pool will be on the way to recovery.
