Another Hot Day

Today was just as hot as it was yesterday, with a high of 112 degrees, but it was not a record for this day. Still plenty hot though. Half through the yard work this morning, I was really dragging, and was pretty much wiped out all afternoon.

We did have another nice evening out at the pool. Tonight, Cortney made tacos, which was a good meal to eat out at the pool.

A Hot Day

It was hot today, with a high of 112 degrees. That makes today the first day of the year over 110 degrees, and it is also a record high for the day.

We had a nice dinner out by the pool, then we all went swimming afterwards. The water has warmed up to 86 degrees, warm enough for even Cortney. We played for quite a while in the pool. Sean and Ethan were nice and tired by bedtime.

While the hot weather was nice for an evening out by the pool, tomorrow it won’t be so nice when I have to do some heavy yard work.

Foiled Plans

This is the second evening in a row where my plans have been foiled. Tonight, I had planned to spend the evening outdoors in the pool area, with dinner served by the pool. Well, it just so happens I observed the remains of an accident, resembling a Baby Ruth bar, at the bottom of the pool, and I decided it was best to add some pool chemicals and wait until tomorrow.

I offered to take the kids to Burger King, but they settled for watching Sponge Bob videos.

In other news, I turned in my passport today. I had to renew my passport, which will make my third passport. I never realized until now that I have worked for over 20 years now.

A Relaxing Evening

We had plans to go to the library this evening. Sean wanted books to read and Ethan wanted to check out some videos. But when it came time to go, neither Sean nor Ethan was willing to go. So, we didn’t do much, we just took it easy this evening.
