Gym Night
May 9, 2007 on 9:00 pm | In Main | No CommentsToday’s double session at the gym went much smoother after both kids expected that they needed to wait a full hour while the other was in class. We stopped by McDonald’s afterwards. By then, Ethan was too tired. He wouldn’t eat or play, so he ended up going to bed early.
Ethan does seem to be feeling better, and I’m feeling better after taking 24 hour allergy medicine and steroidal nasal spray.
Doctor Day
May 8, 2007 on 8:30 pm | In Main | No CommentsBoth Ethan and I went to the doctor today. Ethan has a sinus infection, and I just have allergies.
We went out for pizza tonight, as it was MOMS charity night at a local restaurant.
Fix it Day
May 6, 2007 on 9:00 pm | In Main | No CommentsI put in a long day today, fixing some broken things around the house and doing yard work. I even took a break in the yard work to exercise on the stationary bike. By the time I finished dinner, I had worn myself out.
Floppy Makes a Comeback
May 5, 2007 on 9:55 pm | In Main | No CommentsOur oldest cat, Floppy, wasn’t doing so well last weekend. It looks like the anti-biotic did the trick, and Floppy slowly gained weight this week. Now, she seems to be doing just fine. She also has become quite feisty. When she wants attention, she caterwauls until she gets it. That is a big change in behavior, as before, she would quietly slink around the house to avoid attention from the kids and the dog.
In other news, we went to a birthday party for one of Sean’s friends at Pump it Up, the place with the inflatable bouncers and slides. This was a late afternoon party, so both kids were able to get all of the exercise and food they needed for the night. I had fun playing with Sean and Ethan on the bouncers as well.
News Bites
May 4, 2007 on 8:03 pm | In Main | No CommentsThis has been a busy week for me. I’ll be going to bed early tonight.
Sean and I went swimming tonight. It was a windy day, so we did not stay in the pool very long.
I took off early from work to go look at my parent’s new house. It seems to be quite well built.
Mall Night
May 3, 2007 on 9:20 pm | In Main | No CommentsWe had dinner at the mall this evening. Afterwards, I walked Sean and Ethan around the mall while Cortney did some shopping. The kids and I had lots of fun, until the kids started to get tired. It got so bad that I had to call Cortney for help, to get the kids back to the car.
31 Cent Scoop Night
May 2, 2007 on 8:37 pm | In Main | No CommentsLast night’s travel home was nice and smooth. Despite that I arrived home a few minutes early, I was too tired to write an entry here last night. I traveled out to our Los Angeles facility to work on local processes, only to find out the day I arrived that they are going to close down that facility.
Sean and Ethan both have their gym classes this evening, one after another. This cuts down on trips to the gym, but it means Ethan has to wait for Sean’s class to end, and then Sean has to wait through Ethan’s class. Ethan did fairly well, as he is used to going and watching Sean’s class, but Sean became impatient half-way through Ethan’s class.
The post title refers to 31 cent scoop night at Baskin Robins. Cortney wanted to go, and apparently so did most of Glendale. The line was long, but it moved fairly quickly, so we were all able to get a cheap ice cream fix.
