Sunday Evening in the Pool

The kids are in the pool playing while I am writing this. I have the laptop computer protected from stray splashes with a towel placed in front. This is a lesson I learned from the last time I tried this. That and don’t play a game the kids want to come over and take a look at. I would be swimming myself, but it appears I picked up an intestinal virus some time this weekend, and I’m not in the mood for ilt.

Tomorrow is loose trash pick up, so I did some yard trimming today. I performed a quick assessment of what needed to be done, and at first glance, it appeared not much needed to be done. This surprised me, as normally I get a lot of growth for the month of May. Then I started to think of how much more growth I would get for June, then I realized I should do a bit more trimming. In the end, I still did not have to do much. I did trim away the remaining parts of last winter’s frost damage from the hibiscus and bougainvillea bushes.

As Cortney continues to prepare for her trip, she declared today to be Father’s day. So in addition to the birthday gifts from yesterday, I received a few small gifts for Father’s day.

An Early Birthday Celebration.

Cortney held an early birthday celebration for me today. My actual birthday won’t be for another week and a half, but Cortney and the kids will be in Florida then. Cortney had a cake, and the kids sang happy birthday for me. I received a real nice present from Cortney’s parents, a Lego NXT Mindstorms kit. The kids gave me a Star Wars Lego kit.

A Relaxing Weekend

We don’t have any plans for this weekend like we did last weekend, so thing should be nice and relaxing. Cortney will be busy getting ready for the trip to Florida. They leave on Tuesday.
